The German Seed Alliance (GSA) has been founded in 2008 as a joint venture of leading German plant breeders. Its main office is situated in Cologne. The philosophy and operations of the shareholder companies are firmly rooted in the traditions of family-owned companies. They produce and distribute high quality seeds.

The shareholders concentrate on specific agricultural crops. They all are experts in their respective field for the research and development of innovative plant varieties. They can look back to a tradition of more than a century of plant breeding. They know agriculture and its needs inside out.

The advantage of GSA resides in the fact that it pools the knowledge and experience of its shareholders. GSA supplies the products of its shareholders to customers in emerging markets in Eastern Europe and in Africa.
